Bursaries sponsored by the Australian Institute of Physics

We encourage all eligible delegates to apply for the opportunity to receive the following financial support. Please email admin@congress.aip.org.au

The AIP has made a subsidy available to support those with caring responsibilities to attend the AIP Congress + ANZCOP 2026 event. We encourage all those who meet the eligibility criteria to apply but cannot guarantee that we will be able to support all applicants.

Carers Support

Available to delegates are $500 subsidies for AIP members who have caring responsibilities that may increase their cost of their attending.

Eligibility:

• Carers incurring costs to attend the congress (Includes parents with children but also those with adult dependents, e.g. adult children, or their own parents, who they have caring responsibility for)
• Must be presenting (poster/talk of any kind) at Congress 2026
• up to $500 per subsidy
• must supply details of additional care costs - e.g. flights, accommodation for the carer to attend (i.e. not ongoing costs that would have otherwise been incurred)
• financial members only, with membership > 6 months at the application deadline

Bursaries sponsored by the American Physical Society

The American Physical Society has generously sponsored bursaries to support early career researchers and researchers in regional and remote areas to attend the conference.

We encourage all those who meet the eligibility criteria to apply but cannot guarantee that we will be able to support all applicants.

ECR and Regional Support subsidy

Eligibility:

• Must be presenting (poster/talk of any kind) at Congress 2026
• Up to $500 per subsidy
• Must supply details of costs – e.g. flights, accommodation and justification for requesting the bursary
